With over a decade of commitment to innovation and exceptional customer service, Evapolar has become an industry leader in delivering high-quality pre-cooling solutions for industrial, commercial and residential markets.
Overcoming Traditional Evaporative Cooling Challenges
Evapolar’s system offers a distinct advantage over traditional evaporative cooling methods. Unlike conventional solutions such as spraying, fog-generating, and wet wall systems, which are often inefficient and pose safety risks, Evapolar systems provide enhanced efficiency, significant energy savings and are safe for chillers. Our advanced technology boosts performance and ensures a more reliable and efficient cooling process.
evaBREEZE® Technology
At the heart of Evapolar’s success is our proprietary evaBREEZE® technology. This innovative approach reduces energy consumption and leads to substantial cost savings. The technology uses ultra-thin mineral nano-fibers that create an expansive evaporative surface—equivalent to several football fields—allowing optimal water evaporation and achieving industry-leading temperature drops between the outside ambient air and pre-cooled air entering the chiller.

Evapolar’s system delivers the benefits of evaporative pre-cooling without chilled water, maximizing efficiency and reducing energy usage.
Safe and Powerful Performance
Safety is at the core of Evapolar’s design. Water is supplied to closed trays and absorbed by cartridges within the Evapolar pre-cooling system, ensuring no water is wasted. Our 100% mineral fiber cartridges prevent bacterial and mold growth, maintaining a hygienic and safe operation. These durable cartridges provide powerful cooling while ensuring reliability and longevity.
Market Overview: Other Systems and Methods

How is electricity savings achieved?
Approximately 70% of a building's total electricity consumption comes from centralized air conditioning systems. The hotter the weather, the more energy air-cooled chillers consume. With Evapolar’s advanced evaBREEZE® technology, you save on electricity by maximizing water evaporation to create a temperature drop. This pre-cools the air before it enters the chiller, reducing the workload and energy consumption. The evaBREEZE® cartridges cool the air passing through them by up to 25°C, and for every degree of cooling, the chiller’s electricity consumption is reduced by 2%.
Is the system safe for the chiller and its components?
Yes, the Evapolar system is completely safe for chillers and their components. The system uses evaBREEZE® technology, which operates without water spraying or open water flows. Water is absorbed and evaporated within closed trays in the Evapolar pre-cooling system, preventing water leakage and ensuring no direct contact with the chiller’s parts. The 100% mineral fiber cartridges also prevent bacterial and mold growth, ensuring hygienic and safe operation.
How much water does system consume?
On average, water cost is 20% of the gross savings. The very maximum consumption in the hottest and driest days of August 2023 was 2 cubic meters per Evapolar module per day. On average you should expect 0.5-1 cubic meters per day when chiller is active. The maximum consumption in the hottest and driest days of the year will roughly be 14 cubic meters per 8-meters long chiller per day.
How can a chiller be maintained if it is covered by the system from all sides?

The Evapolar system is designed to enhance the performance and efficiency of your chiller without obstructing access for maintenance. The system's modular components can be easily removed or opened to provide access for routine maintenance and inspections. Strategically placed access panels allow maintenance personnel to reach critical areas without dismantling the entire setup. Flexible installation ensures that essential service points, such as control panels and electrical connections, remain accessible. Additionally, Evapolar provides professional support and guidance to ensure the system is installed in a way that facilitates easy maintenance.
How does humidity affect the evaporation process in our system?
Humidity generally reduces the efficiency of the evaporation process. However, there are several important factors to consider:

1. Heat Reduction by Chillers: Chiller groups generate significant heat, which naturally reduces humidity. Even during the most humid periods, our system consistently achieves at least a 5-degree temperature drop, resulting in approximately 10% energy savings. This is in comparison to the typical 10-degree drop on average, with a maximum potential of 25 degrees.

2. Elevation Impact on Humidity: When the system is installed on the roof of a tall building, even near the seashore, humidity levels are significantly lower than at ground level.

3. Seasonal and Daily Variations: Humidity levels fluctuate both seasonally and throughout the day. During the hottest part of the day, when pre-cooling is most needed, humidity naturally decreases, allowing our system to perform optimally.

4. Site-Specific Assessment: Every building is unique and requires an on-site inspection to determine its suitability for our system. Even buildings located on the seashore can be suitable depending on specific conditions.
How much does Evapolar reduce the temperature and what size area can it cool down?
Evapolar devices are designed as personal units, cooling not an entire room but the user's personal area. To feel the maximum cooling effect, position yourself in the center of the device's airflow with its front grills facing you, within 1.5 m / 4.9 ft from the device. The outgoing temperature depends on air temperature and humidity levels in your space – Evapolar air coolers can lower outgoing air temperatures by up to 14°C/57°F.
What is the average confirmed temperature reduction we have achieved in the facilities where we have already installed the equipment?
The average throughout the year is 10 degrees, maximum registered was 25 degrees.
What is the suction air resistance created by Evapolar equipment for the chiller?
The total amount of airflow doesn’t change. The basic pressure created by chiller fans is much higher than any resistance we create so it can’t even be properly measured. Based on rough calculation the air pressure required to move air through the cartridges  is as low as 3mm H20.
Does the chiller still require maintenance after the system is installed?
Yes, maintaining the chiller remains to be your responsibility and we’re not interfering into this process
How can the chiller manufacturer's maintenance be synchronized with Evapolar maintenance?
We can arrange our maintenance together with regular maintenance cycles. Our maintenance is conducted 4 times per year and our system will be completely disassembled opening any parts of the chiller for maintenance. Please, note that even when the Evapolar system is assembled it still provides easy access to pretty much all the parts of the chiller. So, unless you need to change the coil or take the compressor out you may not even need to synchronize with us.
